Issues with your front PTO: What you should consider before purchase
Farmers generally don’t pay much attention to the brand of their front linkage or PTO. Not even when buying a new tractor. Yet this is the best moment to get yourself informed. Erik Arts, farmer and agricultural adviser, explains his experiences with PTO’s.

Tractor purchase
Erik bought his tractor a couple of years back. Because of a special offer he bought a front linkage and PTO from the same manufacturer. This deal seemed favourable but issues came to light quickly. What went wrong? A leakage of the PTO.
A gearbox without oil creates a lot of noise. Additionally, the gears are not cooled off. This results in an overheated gearbox that will eventually break down. Ultimately, these are very preventable and unnecessary risks.
Prevention
